SEVENTH STREET
This second-storey addition for a growing family took unusable attic space and converted it into a huge primary bedroom with a sexy ensuite and a private balcony. On the main floor, we removed walls and added large picture windows, new hardwood flooring throughout, and a custom-built white oak staircase. Hardy Board exterior siding completed the job and elevated this home from its original structure.

PEAREN
This young family of four were ready to make everyday living more functional and beautiful. They came to us with a vision for their space and trusted us to bring it to life. We helped them reimagine their main floor living space, with an open concept floor plan, new functional kitchen, and custom cabinetry.

CLOSE STREET
These clients trusted us to take the lead on designing and updating the main bathroom and powder room, along with transforming a third-floor closet into an office ensuite bathroom. We brightened and enlivened each space into a contemporary haven. We worked collaboratively with our clients—and love how all our ideas and their choices created three unique bathrooms, which align so well with their style.

MILLICENT PROJECT
After serious water damage, this kitchen needed to be brought down to the studs and completely updated. To take on the challenges of this very active family of five, we maximized storage and reconfigured useable pantry space. We injected the clients’ style and love of the colour blue into the finished product with walls, floors, lighting, and blue counters.

ADAM HOUSE PROJECT
This was an extensive renovation of three-storey, five-bathroom, nine-bedroom property for Adam House, an organization that welcomes incoming refugees. We were happy to contribute to such worthy work. Our main task was to bring the building up to code. We installed an industrial kitchen, with custom built-in benches and walk-in pantry, to accommodate 18 to 20 people. The basement was converted into a bright and spacious meeting space. Adding new flooring throughout the entire house, and updating bathrooms and windows tied everything together, creating a safe and inviting home for everyone.
Architect - Area Code
"Liz and Silvie were a joy to work with—hands-on, creative and genuinely committed to their craft. Their daily on-site presence, personal investment, and ability to navigate the complexities of a challenging renovation (including fire ratings, site conditions and technical challenges) made all the difference in bringing the project to life with care and precision.” Darcie Watson - Area Code -Architect Adam House Project
HAVELOCK PROJECT
As part of a full house renovation, this once dark and dingy basement was converted into a light-filled, one-bedroom suite. With heated, polished concrete floors and full soundproofing, this basement flat boasts hand-crafted millwork throughout and brings in as much natural light as possible, creating a warm and inviting space.“
Architect - Archaos Design - Kis & Varone
“The thought Kis & Varone put into this project is what transformed our basement into the beautiful space it has become.” S. Evans

ROXTON PROJECT
Our client needed to make a home for an aging parent. Our job was to take this once dated 2500 sq.ft. bungalow and convert it into two three-bedroom units. The client trusted us to help develop a floor plan that would use the space wisely without comprising flow and light. Along with extensive sound proofing between floors and walls, we installed new kitchens and bathrooms. Engineered hardwood flooring for the main floor and heated, polished concrete flooring for the basement suite.
“We couldn’t be happier with the results. Even as Covid became a reality Kis & Varone delivered all while maintaining a healthy and safe worksite.” D. Osler
